MARTINSVILLE, IL – A four-vehicle collision involving three semi-trucks near Martinsville left one person dead and three others injured last Friday.
According to WCIA, the collision took place at about 5:45 p.m. when a 2005 semi-truck rear-ended a maroon semi-truck on I-70 near mile marker 139, causing a chain reaction involving an SUV and a third semi.
The driver of the 2005 semi-truck was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as a 44-yera-old Canadian man.
The occupants of two other vehicles involved, two men and a woman, were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the the third semi-truck was unhurt.
