58-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash in Rantoul

RANTOUL, IL – A motorcycle crash occurred in southern Rantoul on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the loss of one man’s life.

According to a report by WCIA, a 58-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle in the 600 block of West Liberty Avenue near Borman Drive at about 2:40 p.m. The motorcycle hit the curb and ejected the rider before colliding with a light pole.

The rider was taken to the Carle Hospital Emergency Department, where he succumbed to his injuries at about 3:25.
