DOUGLAS COUNTY, IL — A vehicle crash early Thursday morning blocked part of southbound Interstate 57 for three hours just outside of Tuscola, according to WCIA.
The accident happened near milepost 212, north of U.S. Highway 36 (East Southline Road), at around 1:00 a.m.
Authorities have not detailed the cause of the crash or the vehicles involved, but both southbound lanes of I-57 were closed for three hours during the response and initial investigation.
Motorists were forced to get by the scene through the right emergency shoulder as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Local agencies have not reported any injuries in the event.
