Last Updated: 15 November, 2012

The car involved in a hit-and-run accident on Monday evening that killed a West Rogers Park man and injured another has been found.

Tsering Dorjee, 44,  spent November 12th helping his brother-in-law, Dakpa Jorden, find an apartment for his family, who were expected to come from India next month. The two men crossed the street in the 6400 block of North Maplewood around 6 p.m. when a dark blue Volkswagen Beetle hit the two men.

Dorjee was taken to St. Frances Hospital in Evanston where he died around 10:27 p.m. with his wife by his side. Jorden was also taken to St. Francis with a broken leg. The Volkswagon was found the next day in the area of Francisco and Albion streets in the West Rogers Park Neighborhood, which is only a half a mile away from the accident site. The police are continuing efforts to find the driver who has not been located at this time.

A hit-and-run driver may never see the damage they cause to others.  If you or a loved one knows someone who has been injured by a hit-and-run driver, call Spiros Law, P.C. at (815) 929-9292 for professional legal representation.
