Chatsworth Man, 24, Killed in ATV Accident

Last Updated: 14 November, 2012

A Chatsworth man has lost his life following a crash on an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) in Arrowsmith, Illinois.

Lucas Stork, 24, was riding an ATV with three other friends on November 10th in the small town area that is 20 miles east of Bloomington. About 11:30 p.m., the ATV crashed with Stork and the ATV going down a ravine. Emergency crews responded to the accident and found Stork trapped under the ATV. He was declared dead at the scene at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.

McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling reported that the cause of death was not related to speed. However, he may have died because he could not breathe when he became trapped under the vehicle. A final cause of death will be determined after toxicology tests are completed. The three other people at the scene were not seriously injured.
