Chicago man cited after truck rollover near Bradley

Last Updated: 08 December, 2011

A 36-year-old man from Chicago has been cited after a semi-truck rollover accident occurred on Interstate 57.

The driver told police that there was a deer in the road and he had to swerve the vehicle in order to avoid it. State police stated that the driver may have been going too fast and this is what caused him to lose control of the vehicle.

The semi-truck, which was transporting 8,000 pounds of furniture, flipped and rolled over across the roadway. The interstate was closed for three hours and traffic was directed to Route 17. The man was transported to Provena St. Mary’s Hospital in order to be treated and was also cited for improper lane usage as a result of the accident.
