EFFINGHAM, IL – At least one person was injured in a crash involving two semi-trucks northeast of Effingham on Wednesday afternoon.
According to WCIA, the two trucks collided and subsequently caught fire on I-70 near the exit to US-45 at about 3:30 p.m.
State troopers say one of the vehicles crashed over the concrete barrier, coming to rest in the oncoming lanes of the interstate.
At least one person suffered injuries in the crash. However, the extent of their injuries are unclear at this time.
