Lombard Man dies in crash related to Road Rage Incident

Last Updated: 21 June, 2012

Road rage and drugs were deemed the reasons behind a Naperville crash between a motorcycle and a Infiniti that left one man dead and another arrested.

On June 13th Michael Moreno was driving on westbound Ogden Avenue, chasing a Honda driven by a sixteen-year-old whose action had angered him.  At about 5 p.m., Plainfield resident Moreno turned his Infiniti M45 left onto River Road directly in the path of Gerald Puglise who was driving his Triumph Rocket III motorcycle.

Pugliese, of Lombard, died at the scene of the accident. Moreno left the scene but was caught a short time later. He was charged with driving under the influence, causing the death of another, aggravated reckless driving, possession of marijuana, obstructing a police officer and failure to yield turning left. It was determined that the young woman Moreno was chasing was not involved in the accident and she was not charged.

Road rage fuel by intoxication is a dangerous combination for other drivers on the road. If you or a loved one has lost someone in a DUI accident, call Spiros Law, P.C. to explore your legal rights.
