Recalled Products Linked to Menigitis Outbreak Distributed to Illinois Hospitals

Last Updated: 23 October, 2012

Another 49 hospitals and clinics in Illinois may have received the recalled pharmaceutical products that are linked to the meningitis outbreak that has occurred across the nation.

A list of clinics and hospitals that could possibly have the recalled products distributed by the Massachusetts pharmacy was listed on the Food and Drug Administration’s website and the Illinois Department of Public Health is now alerting all of the locations about the possible contamination.

Clinics and hospitals that received injectable drugs manufactured by New England Compounding Center either on or after May 21, should make sure that patients are not developing symptoms. Two of the hospitals are located in the Joliet area.

If your loved one has developed symptoms of meningitis after being injected with contaminated medication,  contact the Kankakee product liability lawyers of Spiros Law, P.C., today.
