Nearly 72,000 pounds of chicken salad recalled by Illinois company

The Suter Company,  a food manufacturing company in Illinois has issued a recall of nearly 72,000 pounds of Bumble Bee chicken salad after customers found hard plastic in the food.

The Sycamore-based company has recalled the “Bumble Bee Lunch on the Run Chicken Salad Complete Lunch Kit” and the “Bumble Bee Chicken Salad with Crackers” which were both assembled from August 14 to August 28, 2010.

The products were distributed to retail stores throughout the nation. Officials from the company are asking that people return the food and to not eat it although no injuries have been reported at this time.
