CHAMPAIGN, IL — Crews were called to the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon involving a semi-truck on Springfield Avenue in Champaign, reports WCIA.
The incident was said to have occurred under the eastbound viaduct at about 12:30 p.m.
Authorities have not released the sequence of events leading up to the wreck, but photos taken at the scene show considerable damage to the roof of the semi’s trailer, which had become stuck under the bridge.
WCIA crews at the scene observed the semi may have also been hit from behind by a pickup truck.
At this time, no injuries have been confirmed.
