Seven-vehicle crash kills two people, injures more

Five people from Kankakee and Iroquois counties were involved in a seven-vehicle accident on a southern Illinois highway. Two of the victims were killed after the accident.

Officials said that the two people killed in the accident was a 54-year-old man and a 52-year-old man from Missouri. The accident is still under investigation, but it is known that the accident involved, four semi-trailers and three cars.

Police said that the vehicles were stopped while waiting in a construction zone when a semi-truck failed to stop and slammed into another vehicle causing a chain reaction wreck.
