Sunland Inc., announces more products, stores involved in recall

Last Updated: 05 October, 2012

Sunland Inc., recently announced the expansion of the peanut butter recall that began last week. The original recall involved the Trader Joe’s Valencia Creamy Peanut Butter after it was discovered that it may have been contaminated with salmonella during the manufacturing process.

The recall was later extended when it was determined that multiple other products that are sold at market and grocery stores across the nation, were manufactured on the same equipment.

The other products include almond and cashew spread and roasted peanuts. As of now, nearly 35 people have become ill from the food-borne contamination, with at least eight requiring hospitalization.

If you or a loved one has become ill after consuming defective food items, you need representation on your side that may be able to help you receive the much-needed compensation for your losses and expenses. Contact the Kankakee injury lawyers of Spiros Law, P.C., by calling (815) 929-9292.
