Suspects injured in motorcycle crash while fleeing Kankakee police

KANKAKEE, IL – Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash early Saturday while fleeing from police in Kankakee.

According to the County Herald, officers responded to reports of a shooting at Spinners Tailspin Inn Tavern at about 12:20 a.m. where they found a woman had been shot. The victim was subsequently transported to Riverside Hospital in unknown condition.

Witnesses told police the suspects fled the scene on a motorcycle. A short time later, reports of a motorcycle crash at Station Street and Chicago Avenue began to come in.

Both individuals on the motorcycle were seriously injured and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Two firearms were found at the crash site. Details concerning any charges connected to the shooting are not mentioned in the report.
