Three-vehicle accident leaves two children, one adult hospitalized

A three-vehicle accident in Cambria, Illinois has left two children and one adult hospitalized with multiple injuries.

According to preliminary investigations made by the police investigators, 31-year-old Herrin resident Melissa Simpson was trying to turn left but drove in front of a vehicle instead, causing a collision. Immediately afterwards, another car hit the two vehicles originally involved.

Two children and an adult were brought to nearby area hospitals for the treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries.
