Three-vehicle crash ends with one man in hospital

Last Updated: 10 March, 2011

A three-vehicle crash between a school bus, minivan and a car caused one man to be sent to the hospital.

According to officials, the accident occurred as a school bus, that was carrying eight school children, attempted to pass a car on Vine Street, but struck the car while trying to do so . The bus then went around the car and struck a minivan two or three times.

When police arrived at the scene, the bus driver did not have an explanation for what happened. No children were injured in the accident, but the driver of the first car was sent to the hospital where he was treated and released. The bus driver was charged with failure to reduce speed in order to avoid an accident.
