Worker Sent to Hospital after Hair Gets Caught in Machinery

A Bedford Park, Illinois plant was the site of a workplace accident when a worker had her hair caught in a machine.

The worker was working at a machine in the ACH Foods plant that bottles corn oil in the morning hours on April 9, 2012 when her hair became caught in the machinery. Bedford Park Fire Department was called to the plant around 8:30 a.m. and were able to remove the worker from the machine.

The worker was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. It was determined that the worker suffered a head injury but that the injuries were minor. According to a company spokesperson, it is unknown how the injury occurred and the plant remains open for business.
