DANVILLE, IL – The Vermillion County Coroner has released the identity of the 29-year-old man killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Danville last week.
According to a report by WAND, Curtis D. Maxey, of Indiana, was driving his pickup west on County Road 2000 North at about 2 p.m. when it was struck head-on by an eastbound SUV.
Maxey was rushed to Danville’s OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
An investigation into the crash remains underway. However, the driver of the SUV was cited for “improper lane usage.”
